Non-grain oriented steel
NLMK produces conventional grades of non-grain oriented electrical steel, grades with improved properties and premium grades. The latter include grades with low specific magnetic losses — HIGH GRADES. HIGH FREQUENCY GRADES are used in high-frequency machines and electric vehicles.
HIGH PERMEABILITY GRADES help increase engine efficiency. Hot-rolled steel is processed on the normalization and continuous pickling lines, rolled on a reversing mill (premium grades), or is fed to Mill 1400 (conventional grades). Then the steel is subjected to continuous annealing and electrical insulation coating.
